Organic coconut sugar is a natural sweetener and is an ideal replacement for white and brown sugar. It's coming from the Malay archipelago in Indonesia where it has been used in their diet for thousands of years.
It's produced by traditional way of collecting nectar from the coconut blossom, which is then dried and ground into a powder, best suitable for consumption and further use. It's of natural color, smell and taste that slightly resembles caramel.
Coconut sugar has a much lower glycemic index than other sugars. It is rich in minerals, vitamins and amino acids. It contains potassium, magnesium, zinc, iron, B group vitamins, vitamin C and more.
Organic coconut sugar is manufactured within high standards of strictly controlled organic production without the use of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. It contains no additives, preservatives or any other artificial additions. It's not genetically modified (non-GMO).
It has international "USDA" and EU "Skal" organic certifications as well as domestic organic certification from company "Organic Control System" authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Serbia, as well as by the EU.
Organic coconut sugar is used like an ordinary conventional white sugar as it's ideal as a healthier substitute. It is a natural sweetener for tea, coffee, pancakes, ice cream, cakes, jams and more.
It's best kept in a sealed glass jar.
